  • Smuggler's Round to Samnaun
    keyboard_arrow_right

This hiking tour leads through an impressive mountain landscape on the tracks of nimble smugglers from Ischgl to Samnaun (Switzerland). Even the ancestors, the inhabitants of Paznaun, reached Switzerland via the smugglers' trails.

Today, wonderful one-day hiking trails follow in their footsteps across the border to the Swiss. To save a little time, take the Silvretta and Flimjoch cable car from Ischgl directly to the Flimjoch. The rest of the way is covered on foot. This offers a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding mountain group of the Samnaun, Silvretta and Verwall area. On the way back we take the Samnaun cable car.

This tour is easier if we hike part of it or use the cable cars and lifts in unsettled weather.

    Do not forget:
Mountain boots or good walking shoes, food and drink, mouth and nose protection, money for refreshments (if planned) depending on the weather: sun protection (cream, cap or scarf) or rain protection, possibly a warm jacket or clothing, Silvrettacard.
