Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making our website accessible in accordance with the Austrian “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz”, implementing the European Accessibility Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services. This accessibility statement applies to www.salnerhof.at
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.2” and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 due to the following incompatibilities and/or exemptions.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
a) Incompatibility with the accessibility regulations
1.3.3 - Individual links or buttons are only differentiated by colour, which means that the success criterion is not met.
1.3.5 - Some form fields - especially in the contact form - do not contain ‘autocomplete’ attributes and therefore do not fulfil the criterion.
1.4.1 - Links, for example in continuous text or the navigation, are sometimes only highlighted in colour. This does not fulfil the success criterion.
1.4.3 - Some texts and graphic elements do not meet the required contrast ratios. Optimisation is planned.
1.4.5 - Images with text content or badges are used that have no textual alternative.
1.4.11 - Some visual focus markers do not have the required contrast to the background.
2.1.1 - The main navigation blocks the focus when using the keyboard.
2.1.2 - Some interactive elements cannot be easily exited using the keyboard.
2.4.1 - Ski links for skipping recurring content are not available.
2.4.3 - The order of the keyboard navigation is sometimes illogical or gets lost when closing elements.
2.4.6 - Form elements are not always named clearly or descriptively.
2.4.7 - The focus display for keyboard navigation is not always visible.2.4.11 - The focus disappears behind the pop-up on the start page and does not reach the submenu.
2.5.3 - Partially missing visible labelling of control elements, which is reflected in the accessible name.
2.5.8 - Some buttons or clickable elements are smaller than the recommended minimum size of 24 x 24 pixels.
3.3.1 - Incorrect inputs are not clearly recognised or described as such.
3.3.2 - Form elements are not consistently labelled or explained.
3.3.3 - No specific instructions are given for correcting errors.
3.3.4 - Important data entries cannot be checked or cancelled before sending.
3.3.7 - Users sometimes have to enter the same information multiple times.
3.3.8 - Forms contain CAPTCHA queries that are not accessible.
4.1.2 - Not all buttons or interactive elements convey their status (e.g. expanded or selected) correctly programmatically.
4.1.3 - Changes such as progress indicators or errors are not automatically communicated to assistive technologies.
b) Disproportionate burden
1.2.1 - No transcriptions or content descriptions are currently available for some of these videos.
1.2.2 - Some embedded videos do not have subtitles, making important content inaccessible to deaf users
1.2.3 - Audio descriptions cannot currently be provided for certain embedded videos.
1.2.4 - Live videos are embedded via third-party providers. Subtitles are not available in all cases. In addition, live videos are excluded in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
1.2.5 - Audio descriptions are not available for some embedded videos. Due to the disproportionate effort involved, there are currently no plans to improve this.
2.2.2 - Some videos do not have controls to pause or stop.
We believe that fixing this would be a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.
c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation
There are older documents and content available on the website that are not accessible. As these were published before 28 June 2025, they are exempt from the Accessibility Act and no comprehensive change is currently planned for them.
The website contains documents and content from third-party providers that are neither developed, financed nor controlled by us. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with the accessibility provisions and it is therefore also exempt from the requirements of the Accessibility Act.
Creation of the accessibility statement
This statement was created on 28/03/25.
The assessment of the website's compliance with the Accessibility Act was carried out in the form of a self-test in accordance with the level AA guidelines of WCAG 2.2.
